Paola Bellani is an Italian architect and design consultant who graduated from Politecnico di Milano. Currently based in Milan, she has lived and worked in Seoul, Copenhagen, Brasilia, and São Paulo, enriching her global perspective on design and its cultural contexts.

With a strong background in art direction, brand communication, and the construction of visual narratives within the design industry, Paola works as a strategic consultant for both Italian and international design companies.

Her expertise lies in shaping compelling brand identities, developing creative strategies, and conveying design excellence through impactful communication.

Paola also developed the brand communication for Yamakawa Tokyo 1952, a historic Japanese rattan furniture brand, showcasing her ability to blend tradition with a contemporary vision.

While based in Copenhagen, Paola served as the Brand Communication Manager for Fritz Hansen, leading the strategic positioning and narrative development of the iconic Danish design brand. This role underscored her ability to craft messages that resonate globally.

As co-founder of the magazine disegno. la nuova cultura industriale with Stefano Casciani, Paola has contributed to shaping the discourse around design culture. Her articles have appeared in prestigious publications such as Domus, Elle Decor, Ideat, and Rum. Currently, she writes for The Book magazine, focusing on design communication and photography within the design industry.

Paola’s academic contributions include teaching Brand Strategy and Visual Design at NABA Milano since 2018. Her lectures emphasize the interplay between design, communication, and visual culture, reflecting her passion for inspiring the next generation of designers.

Her extensive experience in the fashion industry, designing shows and exhibitions since 2000, is an integral part of her professional background. With deep connections in both fashion and design, she brings a distinctive perspective to international projects, ensuring culturally nuanced and innovative solutions.
